I have always wanted to make a Difference in the lives of others but I Had no idea how I would to do that however I had been given the Opportunity to take photography class my senior year of high school and I Fell in love with the Medium this passion led me to change my major from architecture to photography my in 2012 I took my first class and I was introduced to many photographers such as Ansel Adams, Lewis Hine, Cindy Sherman, Hank Willis Thomas, Richard Avedon and one of my favorites Gordon Parks who’s work profoundly influenced what I wanted to do with my work.Fast forward five years later I began making portraits and With each portrait is a written testimony of that person. I made a self-portrait because I wanted to share my own struggles and Then I started to listen to others share with me their own struggles and pain then I was also uplifted by the stories of those who are striving for More hearing these stories made me realize that while we all are unique in many ways we still are very much alike that is what I want more than anything for people to stop see These portraits read these stories and try to understand one another. Because that’s going to make To difference through healing and understanding this One truth WE ARE NOT ALONE. So I ask anyone reading this to consider being a part of my fight against ignorance hate bigotry and every negative thought that plague The minds and hearts of people around the world. My Weapon is, a Camera. My Shield, is Our Message.” This is how I’ll change the world or die trying.
